The Saga Of Darren Shan

Darren Shan's an ordinary schoolboy, until he and his best friend Steve get tickets to the Cirque Du Freak, a bizarre freak. In the midst of the ghoulish excitement, true terror raises its head when Steve recognizes that one of the performers, Mr.Crepsley is in fact a vampire! This series follows Darren Shan whose life takes a turn for weird when he is faced with having to live a life of a vampire.
I really enjoyed reading this series. It consists of 12 books and the first one is becoming a movie and coming to theaters this year. I know that 12 books may seem like a lot but they are all good reads. Darren Shan (the author) knows how to keep you interested from one book to the next. I really enjoyed reading these books very much. The details are so thorough that it seems like the characters are indeed real. When I read the books I felt like I was a part of the action because of the details. They were so vivid, I swear I was there and I was relating to the characters and feeling their emotions without even thinking about it. That’s what really gets me hooked. To be able to “be there” is an amazing feeling. To me it seems like at any moment the characters are going to pop off the page and whisk me away with them. That’s one thing I like about reading and these books do just that for me. So once again if you’re into fantasy and thriller you should pick up this series by Darren Shan.
